Ten Quick Fantasy Football Predictions

1. Matt Ryan will be the sixth best fantasy quarterback this year. He has so many weapons to build on from last year’s success and the Falcons will put a bigger emphasis on the passing game this season, too.

2. Mark Ingram will live up to the hype this season and be the most productive rookie. He will have a slightly bigger impact than fellow rookies Julio Jones and A.J. Green.

3. Beanie Wells and Reggie Bush have both underachieved in recent years, but this season they will both prove very fantasy worthy early in the season. I’m not convinced it will last all year, but I think they will jump out of the gate with a couple of nice games.

4. The St. Louis Rams will take another big step forward on offense and that means Steven Jackson, Sam Bradford, Danny Amendola, Lance Kendricks and maybe Mike Sims-Walker will all have a solid fantasy impact. It helps they play teams like San Francisco and Seattle twice a year, too!

5. Chad Ochocinco will eventually click with Tom Brady and the Patriots, despite not looking very good in preseason. Even if it takes him a couple of games to get going, he will be very fantasy relevant when it comes to catching touchdowns every week.

6. Every year random backup running backs break out with surprising success. This year I think it will be Bernard Scott (Bengals), C.J. Spiller (Bills), and Montario Hardesty (Browns). They won’t start the season as real or fantasy starters, but could end the season as guys you are counting on to win your fantasy championship!

7. Chris Johnson and Arian Foster can’t be trusted and I don’t think they will live up to being top five fantasy running backs this year. Johnson, with his long holdout that finally ended, and Foster, with his hamstring injury, have raised too much doubt for me.

8. Knowshon Moreno will play very well under new head coach John Fox. He will be a steal for most fantasy owners that got him a little later in drafts.

9. Santonio Holmes played great when he came back from his suspension last season for the Jets and I think this year he will be even stronger from start to finish.

10. This might be too obvious, but if your fantasy team is filled with players from Green Bay, New Orleans or Atlanta, you will have a wonderful chance to win your league this year. If you drafted too many players (one is too many) from Seattle, San Francisco, or Jacksonville…you could be in for a long season!
