the jersey effect

Who won the Super Bowl last year? How about two years ago? Three? Four? Five? Six? Seven? If you could name each Super Bowl champion from the last seven years, I would be impressed. But my guess is that recalling the Super Bowl winner from two or three years ago was a struggle. Most people, outside of Indianapolis Colts fans, have forgotten that my teammates and I won a Super Bowl in 2006. That was six years ago...

Hunter Smith, twelve-year NFL punter and Super Bowl XLI Champion, partners with Darrin Gray of All-Pro Dad, a national fatherhood program, and Stephen Copeland of Sports Spectrum, to write "The Jersey Effect." Last Thursday and Friday, I met with him and All Pro Dad’s Darrin Gray to work on a new project in conjunction with Sports Spectrum called “The Jersey Effect.” (We’ll give you more details later.) “Ya know,” Hunter said Thursday morning as we sat in his basement. “If my voice is going to be the main one in this book, it needs to be humorous. I’m a funny guy.” Little did I know…
