There was some scrutiny from many in the circles of baseball, thinking that Tim Tebow’s promotion from Columbia to the St.Lucie Mets was just a publicity stunt.

But through ten games with the New York Mets High-A affiliate minor league team, Tebow has proven that he can actually play.

Wearing the number 15, as he did during his football playing days, Tebow has hit .345 in his 10 games with the St. Lucie Mets, including two home runs, eight RBI and only 6 strikeouts in 29 at-bats.

Tebow has hit in five straight games and hopes to continue his hot streak Friday Night against the Palm Beach Cardinals in Jupiter, Florida.
